msnbc political analyst, former pennsylvania governor, ed rendell, and louise revnoski joins me. governor, pick up where we left off. you just heard president trump tick off what he wanted to get done in his first 100 days. he has achieved some of it. i was speaking to a republican analyst earlier today who said he actually gives him a higher mark than he thought he was going to. how do you rate the president as we approach this 100 day mark? given that he's been more restrained than a number of people thought we and has accomplished some of the things he set out to. >> well, first question is, is there any grade lower than f? no. i think it's been a debacle. everything that he promised the american voter he would get through the congress in the first hundred days, he's failed miserably. the government has been inept. there have been more people either resigning, or fired in the first 100 days, than any in my loiffiasco. >> governor, let me push back. he did get neil gorsuch on the supreme court, air strikes in syria which had broad bipartisan support. you also saw him repeal som

ed rendell has come out for rebecca rhynhart against alan butkovitz to be controller of the city.w important is that? before he had backed up alan butkovitz, now he's saying "i'm throwing my hat over here." that's a big endorsement. >> you mean the high-turnout city controller p.a. race? >> for the 10 people who will come vote, does it make a difference? >> they do watch this show. >> yes, they all do. >> i think it is significant in this regard -- >> money. >> it is a low-turnout race and not a lot of attention is focused on it. ed rendell still remains a formidable fundraising individual, and he has a whole group of people around him that look to him to, you know, "who is a good candidate for us to support here?" so for him to sort of give her the seal of approval i think is a tremendous plus for her campaign. >> absolutely, but the fact of the matter remains that this is a committeeman's election. it has been, and it will be, and the question will be are enough people in the democratic infrastructure upset with the choices of auditing targets that alan butkovitz has chosen, and

former governor ed rendell did endorse joe khan this past week, who is one of the seven candidates whos running for the next d.a.'s office. were you surprised by that selection? some folks would say the money is behind other candidates among the seven, but maybe the political endorsements are going to joe khan. >> i think that endorsements in this election are only relevant to the extent that you have enough money to take advantage of it. this is an organizational election. so what's gonna be on the ballots that you put out on election day, what's gonna lead into that, i don't think there's gonna be enough television. i mean, there's some television going on now, but it's not at the level that's enough -- brian knows this better than me -- to really impact outcome. it comes down to organizational. >> the point of money in this case, untermeyer has the largest cash-on-hand reserve. and right next to it is joe khan, so he has both, at this point, money and a major endorsement, but so does rich negrin. rich negrin has the fop and other endorsements. so i think right now it's becoming thos
