more now from cnn's rene marsh. >> reporter: christine and boris, united ceo sent out his third messagend oscar munoz finally got his tone right. but it took two days, a viral video, and fierce outrage from just about everyone who saw that video before. the airline made a direct apology to the passenger who was dragged off of that oversold united airlines flight on sunday. he called it truly horrific, and pledged a thorough review of how the airline handles oversold flights and how it works with law enforcement. he said the review would be completed by april 30th. now, this new statement comes after munoz doubled down in an e-mail sent to employees actually defending the flight crew and calling the passenger disruptive and belligerent. and in munoz's first statement, he only apologized for having to reaccommodate passengers. this has been a disaster for the airline. the press office has not really been responsive and today lawmakers are demanding the department of transportation launch an investigation. we know that the agency said that it was reviewing the incident to determine if the

let's get to rene marsh who's outside the white house as well where marchers are all now gathering. as they arrive from their march. rene, as climate change protesters rally there outside the president's door, i know you have some new reporting on changes just made to the environmental protection agency website. tell us about it. >> reporter: that's right, ana, i mean, same sort of scene as brian here, as they are standing outside the white house and they are all starting to hear about this new reporting that we're talking about here, which is changes to the environmental protection agency's government website. we are aware the agency has acknowledged that they have made changes in the language on the website. specifically under sections of the website that says environmental topics, there are changes to the climate page. climate change page. if you click on that, it says that this page is being updated and there is no data or information there. many people that we spoke to here say it is another example of the administration trying to erase this idea of climate change. however, they

cnn's renee marsh is on the phone with us right now. what can you tell us? >> reporter: i'll tell you this, this information is just coming in. there is still a lot we don't know at this point, but as you said off the top a u.s. f-16 crashed approximately five to six miles from joint base andrews and we're getsing that from a u.s. air force official. we do know the pilot ejected from the aircraft, but we don't have any other additional information at this point on the fate of the pilot. we are still working to get some more information. we are starting to see some images on social media showing that this aircraft possibly went down in a pretty wooded area, but again, all of these details are literally coming in to us right now. so that is what we know at this point. again, to recap, a u.s. f-16 crashing about five to six miles, we are told from joint base andrews, but of course, as we get more, guys, we'll get that to you as soon as possible. >> we're getting this information as you're reporting on the air that the pilot apparently is okay. the pilot ejected

brian todd is at the starting point of the march and rene marsh is at lafayette park outside of the whitec. brian, begin with you. the marching taking place, what are protesters saying, what's their ambition here? >> well, fredricka their ambition is to call attention to what they believe is an assault on the environment that they think that president trump has undertaken in his first 100 days in office. they're concerned about the president possibly trying to withdraw the united states from the global climate change agreement. they're concerned about the executive orders he has signed exploring the possibility of drilling and protected lands and off america's coast. we are right here at the basically the start of the march where this banner is. this is basically where the mrch will start, third street, lined up way down third street, tens of thousands of people we're told are expected for this and you can see all the colorful signs, banners, slogans all over the place. walter and i will kind of pivot over here and walk this way. i did speak to one of the protest organizers eugene carpins
