my father is rene trudeau, and he was the hockey player. a little his history is he was in the business for about 10 years and then he was paralyzed. my mother took care of him, and she had to learn the business. and she went to bartending school to learn how to make drinks. she had to get on the license because at that time a woman couldn't be behind the bar to serve drinks. it was against the law. a long time ago. and so she did that. and she ran the bar. and then my father passed away in 1984, and in 1989, she decided to retire. she sold the bar to josephine and marguerite, and down the road they told it to aaron massey. and aaron and i have reconnected and i'm just thrilled to death of what she has done with the bar. she's cleaned it up. it looks beautiful. i'm glad she kept can you kept the uniqueness and i am honored hob here to help her represent it. my mother is 89, and she knows what is going on here, and she is thrilled to death that it stayed a women-owned business, and so am i. any questions? >> great. thank you. force >> robert

the business is a neighborhood sports bar established in the outer richmond district in 1949 by renee trudeaurenault was a french canadian who played pro hockey for the new york rangers. when his professional hockey career came toen an end, he moved to san francisco and opened hockey haven. renee ran the bar until he became disabled in a car accident after which his wife took over the bar. in october 1989, a woman named josephine burns bought the bar and married a man hired as a bartender who ran the bar with her from the early 1990s. present bar owner erin massey started working for josephine and john in 2001 and became the manager and she shared the same passion regarding the business. 2018 the findlay's offered massey the opportunity to buy the bar and she accepted. she is only the third owner in the 70-year existence and the third woman to own this thriving neighborhood bar. item 3f is joe goode performance group which is a nonprofit organization founded in 1986 by choreographer joe goode with the mission of promoting, understanding, compassion and tolerance o f people through the innovat
