if you prevent the condition from reoccurring for that person who's checked out of the hospital, it isd deal for that person, they're not sick again, they don't have to go back to the hospital, and it's less expensive for the system. is it something in the water in grand junction or could another city do what you have done? the key is you've really got to have strong physician leadership and someone in the community that's well-respected by the physicians, and someone who they feel has really their interests at heart. you've got to have strong leadership, otherwise, it's not going to happen. it would take a commitment not to be greedy. it would take a commitment to work collaboratively together, to look at what's in the best interest of the community, as opposed to what's in the best interest of myself. that's the story of healthcare at this "grand junction" of colorado rivers... just about everybody's covered, costs are controlled, and outcomes are excellent. which makes you wonder -- if this typical american town can do that, why can't every town do it? we went back to leafy new hamp
