reston parkway not in great shach. white knuckle driving there.ulles toll road also very snowy, very slushy.pe. white knuckle driving there. the dulles t further down the road fairfax county parkway, larry is out here with me and he took a quick drive down the fairfax county parkway. it wasn't so bad, but definitely still snow on the parkway. you could see a little bit more ice. vdot is urging drivers this morning, if you can, to delay your trips until after the sun comes up and hopefully we'll start to warm up the service temperatures. i'm getting a reading here of minus 6. so the road crews have been out. we've seen so many folks here treating the roads trying to remove the snow, but when temperatures are so cold it makes it very difficult for that salt to be effective. so give it some time and we'll see improving conditions throughout the day today. >>> check out new video just into the live desk of a daring rescue out in italy. about 200 people were stranded tea resort stuck on the gondola gondolas. a free fell and cut power to the table cars.
