towards the coast a little bit, start to make our way along. 101. 88 in santa rosa to 72 in point reyes. but compare this with the temperatures for tomorrow. fall is definitely starting on a hot note if you're from the bay area, you know that it takes a couple of weeks into the fall season to really get that crisp air going. it will feel like summer as we get our workweek started here. mid to upper 90s for the north bay, the south bay, and even out towards concord. we could be looking at those temperatures, flirting with those 100 degrees. even the inner bay. look at that. and low 80s in san francisco to 91 in hayward. and that really increases here. our risk for fire dangers impacts on our health as well. maybe those after school programs and the sports might need to bring those inside. and this will continue on even into tuesday as well as we look still with some 90s upper 90s in our valleys. it will be slightly cooler for the inner bay, some 70 to 80s with more of that relief starting to arrive as we go on into the middle of the week. now, while we're watching this closely really has

get a shot of the winning the point reyes sand sculpture contest. someone from danville made a menagerie of sea creatures and animals. >>>>this is our eighth year coming. this is a family tradition. and i was like, oh, wouldn't it be so cool if we just made one big animal? and then i was like, wait, what if we did two, three, four and then five came around? so that was fun. >gianna>so cool. and a couple from sonoma county will they created a simple sculpture of a sea turtle with a message save the sea. they won third place in the adult division. and this creation, this is what came in first. and at first glance, you might not know exactly what it's supposed to be but this movie scene might jog your memory >>>>shai hulud. shai hulud. we took inspiration from frank herbert's dune. you can really see, based on the shape and the way that we've got it placed in the sand worm that is at certain angles, you get kind of really big money shots. >gianna>i see it, the sand sculpture is supposed to be one of the giant sand worms from the dune series. cool stuff

wine country up towards lake and mendocino counties, and out towards the coast to 80 degrees in point reyes. today, that looks like a beautiful day. we will hug the sea breeze if we get any for today out there at the beaches. we also have a spare the air alert day if you can carpool to avoid any more pollution in the air, that would be a good idea. it will be unhealthy for sensitive groups in the east bay and into the santa clara valley. so just watch for those respiratory changes by tomorrow. it is still pretty hot up in here, with more places going into those triple digits in the east bay, the north bay and the south bay and our peninsula and the city remaining pretty warm. we'll look for san francisco, some cooling by the end of the week with the return of that sea breeze, but temperatures still very mild in the low 70s upper 60s through the weekend. and for our inland valleys, it will be hot over the next couple of days. please take those walks early and towards the weekend, making those plans. wear those hats and the sunscreen. mike has bay bridge recovered. we are not without backup a
