i'm daria and i'm reyna first we got to check in with john this morning about the weather. we've been talking about the air still as bad as yesterday as we battle orrin g. is that bad oranges? not it's not as bad as yesterday. so we have seen. >> so i'm a little bit of improvements here and there. if you are sensitive to poor air quality, still very much, though, encouraging people to taking a little bit easier out there today. and certainly if you got the masks, especially those in 95, good chance to get some use out of them. your view outside the east bay hills. you can definitely notice that haze. that's smoke very evident in this view. we are seeing improvements in that includes a lot more moderate, which is yellow on the map yesterday. it was a lot more of the orange and even deeper red moderate includes areas along the coastline along the bay shore, which actually did see some relief from a cool sea breeze yesterday. poor conditions. this is your very worst in the east bay as well as parts of the south bay and around santa rosa. yesterday, though, it was very poor, wh

reyna 901. in the east bay. people in oakland are asking city leaders to do more to protect bicyclists because a 4 year-old girl was on a bike, died. >> when a car door hit her near lake merritt. and we've got kron four's amanda hari with more on the vigil and what they're asking for. >> i just feel like my heart been ripped out. the aunt of maya korea says her parents are completely torn apart. and one month after the tragedy, they're still learning how to live without her. >> a 4 year-old girl was fighting in a child's bike seat with their father on august 6. they were riding in the bike helmets trying to stay out of the way of cars when a parked car open their door and hit the bike. i fell and hit her head. paramedics checked on the scene and sent her home. but a few hours later, started vomiting and fell unconscious when she was rushed to the hospital. they found a blood clot between her brain and her school buyers. sheila mccracken says she was eventually removed from life support. my is trying her best to

reyna kron, 4 hearing back from bart police this morning. and police say they believe the attack appears to be unprovoked. >> we have confirmed it was a stabbing. an arrest has been made. but this does remain an ongoing investigation. police were called around 12, 18 in the morning. here's what we've learned. 44 year-old tamir edwards has been arrested and booked into the alameda county jail. police say edwards allegedly stabbed another person on board a bart train as it was arriving to the station. and this is video of the scene overnight. as you can officers working the scene gathering information from witnesses there on the platform. this all happened at the 19th street bart station overnight. police say on the bottom platform, witnesses telling our photographer at the scene that one person was taken to the hospital. and we've learned that victim was injured, but is expected to be okay. police say the motive remains under investigation. but as we have mentioned, they do believe that this attack was unprovoked. police were able to quickly
