or rfp's. for fiscal 22/23. next 4 slides you see a continuing list of the rfp's being release third degree year. this programs are either new programs or existing programs that are expiring and require a new procurement. and in total the departments has 29rfp scheduled for this fiscal year. we have a really busy year ahead. and theents reals listed here including the program name of months which the contract planos releagues the rfp's to the public and the mnth in which the contracts plan to bring the items to the commission for approval. alternate days are tentative here could public low change, and the department will try to stick with this schedule as much as possible. the rfp press takes about 3 months. from the time when the department issues the rfp to the time we bring the item to commission for approval. the last step would be issued in march. with the tentative commission date in june. when the rfp's are released there is rfp information on the sf partner website and local paper. we also do a direct ma

instead to the clerk's office to issue the necessary rfp. we were adviseed introduce the motion directing the clerk to perform this function and did that. after introduction of that motion my office was contacted by city attorney who raised concerns about whether this function is allowed under the charter. i will let the city attorney weigh in if they chose the theatre as i understand it from the city attorney's office is the board could be stepping into an executive function with this motion to be approved. despite the fact the charter nowhere presented the board from directing the clerk to issue an rfp and or to retain an expert to work with residence denial in the american at issue the city attorney conclude today is imployed by the charter. this conclusion is baffling to me and reflects a tortured reading of the charter this unreasonable low constrains the power of this board of supervisors under this reading a supervisor would not be able to host a community meetock a topic if there were an issue the department may act on that happened

the target funds are default investment and that is what we are in the rfp for now. that is also about 20 percent and also we have a large index component. we have several indexes. we have 26 percent of the assets in invested in index funds so we have participants chooses a passive market strategy. here we go. this is a good news stor y we generally try to recommend participants choose a percentage to differ as opposed to dollar amount. often times people choose dollar amount because they divide the annual max across 26 pay periods so let's say that turns out to be 850 per pay period. but the problem with that is that dollar amounts don't get automatically escalated so when somebody does gets a raise such as say in july, that is not captured when is a dollar amount so what we have been doing is trying to focus on encouraging people to contribute through a percentage and you can see on the left that is our entire population. the majority of them are a dollar of pay but to the right you see with the new enrollees a lot are choosing a percentage of pay. that is good new

we have in the process right now an rfp that have gone out to bid for new vendors for a new ambulance so going forward we will have ambulances built to our specifications, but given our aging fleet, we needed to buy as many ambulances as we could off the shelf. we are very excited about that. >> we average about 340 calls per day. we are going to look at our data better to plan for new changes whether it's scheduling, the way we deploy our ambulances and how we do the work. we'll be looking at that with more data. i wanted to also let you know that we had an increase in our market share over the past year. we have three providers in san francisco that do ems ambulance work, the fire department, the major player and king american and emr and we share that load with emr. in the past it has been a little bit of a struggle to get the numbers with the percentage of calls, but with the influx, 60 new feat -- f te's and doing a great job of managing the work load. we had a safe event of a surrender. a mother was able to deliver her child to the fire station and confidently able to hand over

through that rfp process. this commission did award the ymca of san francisco, this lease opportunity back in october of 2021, so just almost a year ago. le and since then, we've been sort of parallel tracking the lease negotiations with the line with you know, further due diligence, mainly by the ymca but also working in conjunction with port engineering in particular to understand what was required in termds of further improvements to the building to be able to execute their program and their vision for the building. what we plan to do is spend the next six to five weeks and bring it for approval. this will be subject to approve due to the length the amount of term. in addition to the ymca there are two sub tenants that are part of the team and will occupy portions of the building. grab and go food. so together, the program would be focused on water community water sports and educational experiences and with a commitment to new and under served communities of the bay. and gun we'll talk more about the benefi
