affecting portions of providence, rhode island. we are dry outside. clouds over the area, clouds in the poconos, too. that's not stopping people from heading up there and having some fun at camel beach today. why not? could be a chance of a sprinkle or shower. at least no downpours. we're saying good-bye to that rain for the day. we'll be warming up today, only the 70s yesterday. still i'm not seeing 90s in the forecast at least for this week and definitely not this weekend. can you believe it? it's august. wow. radar image shows as we take this loop we've got the clouds, too. you can see the bulk of the energy and rain way up there towards boston and also connecticut. what we saw yesterday, we noticed a low south of the region and brought up not only a lot of rainfall but convection and thunderstorms happened later in the evening. that's when we had huge downpours that affected new jersey and delaware. mostly those were the areas this got the heaviest amounts of rain, especially new jersey. like we said, millville reported almost nine inches of rain.
