the rhode island supreme court took a legislative measure this week that was designed to protect andes. new york governor said that she would actually ask the government for financial help to support the influx of women that they're predicting would come to the state for abortion services. then the governor of connecticut just signed into law a bill that would protect all women traveling to this day for abortions are being sued or prosecuted be a led state laws. my panel is back with me, mara, i was no idea. what do you think a blue state so far in trying to shore up abortion rights? >> thanks, amen. i actually spent the weeks reporting on just this. what i have learned is that there is already an abortion providers shortage in the united states. even in blue states or states where abortion is readily accessible, in theory, and in law, we have a situation in which for a variety of reasons, there are still not enough providers. the number one thing that needs to happen right now is that states need to move legislators that can. we are talking states like california, oregon, washington
