i have the honor today as mayor mentioned, thanks to rhonda simmons and her leadership and the office of economic and workforce development. she along with many people from the community and many people from the unions introduced us to pat mulligan who was a financial secretary for the carpenters local 22 and a member of the building trades association and we are very pleased to have him come on as our local hire director and will oversee city build. with that, i would like to introduce pat mulligan. rhonda simmons from the office of economic and workforce development. i am going to speak on the in- use a portion of the work force agreement. essentially, the job prius in an ant -- christian for anticipation for cpmc is 1500 new jobs over 10 years. roughly 22 of those jobs every year with an entry level definition as defined by two years are less of college, so the focus is not so much on the professional service cider higher-end, higher-skilled jobs. 6200 jobs will remain in san francisco, and there are roughly about 100 vacant entry-level jobs that are refilled every year. there vacated through attrition, promotion, or retirement. we have talked about 40 entry- level jobs a year over the next five years as it relates to in- use, and this is focused on the health care academy side of the work that we do, which is really dealing with that population that has the two-year or less degree. i will stop. if there are any other questions -- >> thank you. we're going to open it up after all the presentations for questions. thank you. >> good morning, commis

commissioner antonini: i had questions for rhonda simmons on the work force issue. more than a question, just a clarification of my understanding of the situation. correct me if i am wrong, but there are now 6200 jobs in the system, and those are going to be retained. but we're projecting of those 6200, about 600 to 700 per year will change because of attrition. of those 600 to 700 per year, about 100 could be considered entry-level, and the entry level qualifier is no more than a two-year education -- >> i believe that is correct, yes. commissioner antonini: ok, good. of this group, we are saying that no less than 40 will have to be san francisco residents. and i think coming from situations such as the health care cut -- academy or the community benefits organizations. >> correct. the 40 that i am focus on of that 100 is mostly in entry- level health care. so there might be other kinds of areas of, not so much health care, but entry level that is not captured, but we would still work with cpmc to capture as many additional entry level as we could. it is just the f

rhonda simmons, director of workforce development for oewd. i am here to present on the work force portion of the dba. i have been before you in the past to talk about both construction opportunities as well as use opportunities in this project. first i want to address the construction portion and the opportunities available there. we are anticipating that roughly 1500 construction jobs will be created on this project. we have worked in partnership with cpmc to work out a workforce plan that allows a 30% local hire, first stores are good faith program, for san francisco residence by trade, which is unique in the grand scheme of things. we have also negotiated and worked with them to work out an entry level construction admin intern program that calls for 50% of san francisco residents local hire. that coincides with a two-year- old program we run, the construction administrative program. that is a little different than people getting trained for pre- apprenticeship. it gets them trained on the professional service side, which gives us more opp
