here to debate richard fowler and star parker. thank you for joining us this morning. you, first. it's not a sign of success is it? of the obama economic program. >> this is definitely not a sign of success. it's not a democrat, republican it's an american problem. food and security is a big deal. even though we're seeing gdp growth, what we're not seeing is it hit main stream. >> really. star how can you have a country in which hunger and obesity with big problems? one problem with the food stamp program it's no longer a stamp. it is a s.n.a.p. benefit on an ebt cart. what seeps into the american psyche. one person single mom for instance will say i'll by my kid their mcdonald you buy my kid their veggies. this mentality seeped into our society because traditional family life collapsed. when you look at the numbers the majority of people on food stamps today, 86% are in single households trying to raise children. 48% of american children today are born into families with a single never-married mom. this is a problem. their life is hard. >> it's a smart point, richard.
