we have good bustlines in our richmond district. i'm always looking at creating more efficiencies and finding where the needs are. there have been some cuts over the years, so -- to bus lines, like along the outer richmond district area that have led many seniors without a bus route to get up the hill or to get down the hill to go either grocery shopping -- so we are looking at how the system might not be closely enough based on the needs of people like, especially seniors, or disabled people. there's also some bustlines that are less used in the richmond district that we are now working with the muni system to think about continuing but maybe reduce its frequency, but continue its access for many people that live in isolated parts of the city. i strongly support stronger youth discount passes and supporting the bus system so that younger people have strong access. we are trying to work with the school district right now and city agencies to ensure that young people get more support. we want them to be lifelong transit riders as wel

as a result of my actions, richmond became a better place. not just removing graffiti but everything on public property i took pictures of, documented. dates, where it was and that went to the commission unit. when a perpetrator was arrested for that tag they nailed him with all the different pictures we had provided. in 2000 i received an award from you from captain ed springer for all the stuff i've done in this community. i love this community. this district is awesome, this theater. presidio, middle school. some of the kids. i currently work with the friends of mountain lake park. i do all the dog waste bags. that's what i do now. i was deputy sheriff for 10 years. i had an advance post. what i'm here tonight is they found my application for patrol special. it was going to be 30 days for them to approve it and it's been over one year. this is my anly days and this award is attached to that and i'm still not a patrol special. i've asked the captain to apoint me. i think i'm worthy of appointment. this thing has gone on and on and on. i wou

my name is tom and i live in richmond. i got overwhelmed with the amount i would like to say, but i thought i would just address a couple of things. one is the issue of outside lands and the park. i feel that the issue with the park is to fwofold. the goal of the park is to provide recreation for the citizens and to encourage nature -- it's a natural setting. the falcons that might nest in a tree and then be chased off by a concert. there are many places where -- what is that? the other issue with the noise. i am a little overwhelmed, but the neighborhood was affected greatly, yet they say it was not that loud at the concert. i believe it is an engineering issue. it should be engineered so that it is contained. that might mean elevating the speakers. that might mean creating a sail that you could secure that would bounce the sound in the direction that you want. in some areas, it was louder farther away than it was nearer the park. i have had a recent issue with sound. with the extreme sports encouragement that near my hou
