and lee's job is to protect richmond. so he has been stymied so this movement by grant has done one of the things that grant wanted to do, and tha this movement by grant has done one of the things grant wanted to do which is to pool lee out of the war. he had to guard richmond. lee will stay there even after the attacks at petersburg have started. after portions of the union army are able to attack petersburg because lee is not sure what grant is going to do and can't leave richmond uncovered. what about from the union side? grant has now set the way from lee and has the initiative and the advantage. so he is leaving this battle with the same plus that he did after he left the wilderness, spotsylvania and north anna. this is another repetition of exactly the same set of moves so for that reason i have to say that this isn't a lopsided victory or lopsided loss. it looks like all those other movements of the overland campaign and it puts grant, grant comes out in a better position than lee came out in after the end of it. i

it happened around 9:00 this morning on sanderling island in the point richmond -- port richmond neighborhoodporter: it is still a active scene out here right now. nearly eight hours after the shooting happened inside of a home here on sanderling island, outside of our viewpoint in this direction. we know that investigators from the richmond police department homicide unit as well as the contra costa county district attorney's office are on scene right now investigating and they are expected to be out here for several more hours. a spokesman for police say they were looking for a suspect accused of brandishing a firearm and possible discharge of the weapon sunday night in the point richmond area which happened after some kind of altercation with the victim. a search warrant was later issued for the home the suspect was believed to be living in here on the 1200 block of sanderling island. they served the war in around 9:00 this morning when police say they found a suspect in the home armed with a firearm. he was shot and killed by police inside who said they feared for their lives. we are told

we're from richmond, and we thought it would just be a great idea. i go to this soccer field and track a lot on my myself to exercise, and i said, you know, why don't we just do something on a regular basis, make this a safe, fun place? on thursday nights. and we're doing a lot of outreach. a lot of the organizations that are going to be out there with resource tables are getting word out to their organization, to their network. the school district sent out some information to families of a nearby school and the community supports these kind of things. they embrace it . they want to see this. they want to take ownership over their health. and we want to help them. so we're there to support community and people to have improved health. yeah. and obviously, supervisor, you want this to be more than just a fun thursday night in the park. you want that carry over. how hopeful are you that that people who attend an event like this will decide to make some changes in their own life that might improve their overall health? well, i think when you make a heal
