now people who live in san francisco's in richmond district are worried about their own safety. this most recent crash happened saturday afternoon around 5 o'clock on fulton street and park presidio, a man had to go to the hospital with injuries to his head. witnesses say the driver. >> hit a metal pole in front of the bus. stop. you can see it there and that likely prevented anybody else from getting hurt. the driver was cited on the scene for multiple violations and now the community is demanding the city do more to protect pedestrians. connie chan is the supervisor for that district. and she says that she's urging the mayor and as fm t a to speed up much needed safety improvements, including speed cameras on fulton street. we talked to a woman who is challenging chant for her seat, a supervisory, she says physical barriers would also help to protect people standing at the bus stops. absolutely unacceptable. >> there's not enough that we can be doing in terms of policy in design change i were in charge would be putting in bollards tonight. unfortunately, that's not happening.
