this is the richmond dais for a period of former richmond resident to my right who lived in the city during her graduate school years at uc berkeley and miriam is a graduate of kennedy high school, if you can believe that. a hard-core richmond night. anyway, richman richmond civic life has been dominated for centuries by big oil. this is what the city's shoreline look like on a big oil bad hair day like the one in august of 2012 when due to the companies long-standing practice of putting profits and productions ahead of worker safety, environmental health, community safety, there was a major pipe fire, huge tiring of toxic smoke covering cities in the east bay, 15,000 refinery neighbors were sent scrabbling for medical assistance. every emergency room, clinic in the area, the company copped a plea to various civil and criminal penalties and was assessed the longest ocean fine in the history of the state. they haven't paid. the city is suing them over this, damaging impact on property values including the property of recent people who had recently moved in. it got me thinking about the

richmond being the city not the district. i grew up around there in autism wasn't-wasn't really-people do not really know much about autism but they weren't really aware of the outcomes. there was a little special education department at my school but he was treated more like a study hall and just got done instead of how to handle learning disability you have. also, during that time i was a kid who wanted to get to high school make it to the next chapter. so i didn't really see myself identifying at that time. once i arrived at sf state and realized there was a disability center like the dpr see for example, that's when i started to identify more. like once i found out it was a support group where we can go in every monday and unwind and socialize, and get a chance to facilitate were in my case i co-facilitate the meetings and use some of the strategies and tips on how to wrestle,-how to get through college which is a huge transition from high school. for me it's from 1500 students in the high school to 30,000 students in san

well, happening right now, philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's port richmondshooting happened just before 10:00 last night inside a home on the 1900 block of east venango street. police say the victim was that found in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to the head. he died a short time after being rushed to temple hospital. police are questioning people inside of that home but has not released details about a suspect or a motive. >>> and disturbing charges this morning against a montgomery county father. he is accused of abusing his children for years even using an electric dog collar on them. police say 44-year-old joseph myhre of collegeville punched, kicked, choked on beat his two children. it allegedly started when the girl was four or five. she's now 11 and her brother is 13. prosecutors also charged myhre with assaulting his wife. she suffered a fractured skull last month and that's when police opened up the investigation. myhre is being held on a million dollars bail. >> new information about what led to a deadly police-involved shooting in new castle co
