rick: what's the buzz down there about representative john conyers today?rs make willing a big statement -- making a big statement saying he's going to step down from his post as the top democrat on the judiciary committee. certainly a major step especially given that conyers has denied the allegations that have been brought to light and media reporting about settlements that have been made with staffers that have alleged sexual harassment. i think that it's clear that conyers will continue to receive scrutiny with an ethics investigation pending, and i think that it's definitely going to be a point of focus especially this week with the house voting on that resolution for the anti-sexual harassment training. rick: yeah. you talked about al franken walking a fine line today. nancy pelosi did today as far as congress is concerned. >> absolutely, yes. she stepped far short of criticizing conyers, you know, saying one or two accusations and saying that he is an icon and been a champion for women. so certainly nancy pelosi not coming out and criticizing conyers

john flannery set to update investors on his turnaround plans on monday. rickew. we talked about missteps, but is it strategic miscalculations or just really bad luck? rick: it is a little bit of everything. some markets are really troublesome for them. power generation is a big win. that's one market where they recently booked up -- balked -- with a recent acquisition. that was a strategic miscalculation and also just kind of bad timing. but they have also had trouble which is why the dividend may now be in jeopardy. julia: cut to the chase -- will it be cut and to what degree? rick: it is hard to see it will not. some are expecting 50% or more. they have not announced it yet, so there is still the possibility maybe they do not. julia: just looking at the numbers, seven billion dollars in cash flow generated this year. if you back out pensions and $8h, it is normally around billion. rick: ge says this is temporary and cash flow will rebound in the coming years, so there's a case to be made that perhaps they will be able to fund this if they can get through a r

. >>> i want to bring in rick wilson and the former federal prosecutor for southern district of new york. john, you first. i want to start with the special counsel who subpoenaed trump campaign for a number of documents related to russia. what does that tell you about where this investigation is heading? >> i think it is heading towards an end point. and i think that if they haven't already had people in the grand jury talk about these things after they get these documents in house they will use them to close up points they think they need to cover including perhaps this wikipedia question. that may be one of the reasons that they have opened up their question to the campaign because now the loop is complete. we have people who are tied to russia involved in the campaign. we have meeting with russian authorities. we have allegation that there was an invasion and an interception of electronic communications including various people, including podesta. and now we find out wikileaks supposedly got that and made connections directly with the campaign. it is pretty hard to define that conclusion is

john paul bhagat. he is the founder and chief economist at lighthouse rick -- white house research.tart with u.s. tax reform, how much of the markets optimism do you think is predicated on getting some sort of tax reform? >> we have been hearing that line of argument since november of last year and not a lot has happened. i think the market rally shows that the market is confident that central banks in the u.s. and around the world are not in a hurry to raise interest rates anytime soon. key factor that has been underpinning the global market rally that we have seen over the past year. it has also been the fact that that has underpinned the rising u.s. consumer confidence. i would not be overly surprised -- they will be shocked if tax reform in the u.s. gets delayed. >> you brought in my chart because it is so good that you could not wait. it shows market-based expectations of inflation and shunned by the five-year tips versus wti oil and the point i was trying to make was that we have not seen inflation expectations or higher oil prices go to inflation expectations. -- yield curved
