and fox news chief meteorologist rick reichmuth is tracking all of the rain and the flooding for us this there, yeah, we have more rain to go. unfortunately, throughout the weekend. not as bad i think as what we have seen throughout the last 20710 days. west texas you are in the clear. you see this rotation here. upper level system that's been pulling all of this gulf moisture in across the area for such long time. the majority of the heaviest moisture at least is pulling off towards the east. and we are going to see flooding now across parts of louisiana and mississippi. and watches are in effect there. but over the next couple days we are going to see more rain here back across parts of southeastern part of texas. take a look at this. casey was just alluding to this. it wasn't just one town that saw the heaviest of the rain. although we saw that in breneman around 7 to 10 days ago. you get an idea, a lot of areas here have seen four to six inches and a lot of areas over a foot of rain just in the last week or so. you get that kind of rain and that's what's causing the flooding. the fut

now to rick reichmuth. what about these people in texas? tell me they are not going to get any more rain. >> they are. i wish i could say it differently. this flooding we are seeing right now is not the first time we have seen it in texas this last year. we have had numerous events of flooding. and this is another one. take a look at where we have flood watches going on here. parts of oklahoma, all the way down thro the entire state of texas. partially from the rain we have seen. i starts up here parts of the panhandle of texas. you go through this patch here that saw up to a foot of rain and then it cuts back down here around houston and areas that saw over a foot of rn. two areas, all of that water into that watershed and that's why this flooding is going to last a long time. it's not like flash flooding that goes away quickly. this river flooding is going to stick with us, and there is more rain to come. here you go. you see this overall rotation bringing rain showers across a lot of the state of texas. due to future radar here and you t
