and fox news chief meteorologist rick reichmuth is tracking all of the rain and the flooding for us this there, yeah, we have more rain to go. unfortunately, throughout the weekend. not as bad i think as what we have seen throughout the last 20710 days. west texas you are in the clear. you see this rotation here. upper level system that's been pulling all of this gulf moisture in across the area for such long time. the majority of the heaviest moisture at least is pulling off towards the east. and we are going to see flooding now across parts of louisiana and mississippi. and watches are in effect there. but over the next couple days we are going to see more rain here back across parts of southeastern part of texas. take a look at this. casey was just alluding to this. it wasn't just one town that saw the heaviest of the rain. although we saw that in breneman around 7 to 10 days ago. you get an idea, a lot of areas here have seen four to six inches and a lot of areas over a foot of rain just in the last week or so. you get that kind of rain and that's what's causing the flooding. the fut

rick reichmuth is tracking it all. rick? >> greta, a really rough 24 hours yesterday.of the rain happening thursday. and you can see just this line of storms one after the next cutting right through especially central areas of west virginia and then this southwestern area. i test test a 1 in 1,000 year event hang here. it's a very hilly mountainous range. that water very quickly rises because it funnels down in throughout the low lying areas and in throughout the ravines and such and floods quickly. it goes up quickly and goes away quickly, most of it is gone now, now it is the recovery period and the big cleanout that's going to go on all weekend long. a lot of people without power. it's very warm there. a very hot, humid, uncomfortable weekend and obviously so much destruction going on there. greta? >> and to think 20 people dead already and it just looks worse. rick, thank you. >> you bet. >> the live twitter voting results on your screen right now is brexit good for trump and the numbers are 10% say no. 90% say yes. and don't forget to vote on twitter every night.

now to rick reichmuth. what about these people in texas? tell me they are not going to get any more rain. >> they are. i wish i could say it differently. this flooding we are seeing right now is not the first time we have seen it in texas this last year. we have had numerous events of flooding. and this is another one. take a look at where we have flood watches going on here. parts of oklahoma, all the way down thro the entire state of texas. partially from the rain we have seen. i starts up here parts of the panhandle of texas. you go through this patch here that saw up to a foot of rain and then it cuts back down here around houston and areas that saw over a foot of rn. two areas, all of that water into that watershed and that's why this flooding is going to last a long time. it's not like flash flooding that goes away quickly. this river flooding is going to stick with us, and there is more rain to come. here you go. you see this overall rotation bringing rain showers across a lot of the state of texas. due to future radar here and you t

. >> rick reichmuth is standing by with a look at the forecast this morning. y, rick. >> how many times have we talked about texas flooding and how many times have we talked about it. >> keep asking. >> it's getting metta. >> it really is been the case all week long. the rain today right here across kind of the center stripe of the country from minnesota and western great lakes down to the south. we still have rain falling around the houston area. one of the spots seeing so much flooding. it's almost done. however, this front is very slow to move out. i think by tomorrow evening it's gone. in the meantime we will see spots around houston, maybe 3 or 4 inches of rain and see more flooding. tropics, hurricane season started just a couple days ago and we are watching our third system of the year potentially going to develop maybe some time tomorrow evening here. all this moisture you see in the western caribbean, that is going to move up in the national hurricane center high chance of development here in the 48 to 72 hours. right here across parts of the eastern g
