governor rick scott just declared a state of emergency in 26 counties dues to severe flooding across the panhandle. the state has also just closed ten miles of i-10 near pensacola because of standing water and at least two people have died in the flooding and hundreds of drivers are stranded. the scary situation also forced schools in one county to close today. in nearby mobile, alabama, firefighters had to rescue a man forced to cling to a tree when the nearby creek flooded. the area got some 20 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. >> meanwhile, national guard troops are still searching neighborhoods in mississippi, hoping to find survivors from the tornadoes. joining me is bill karins. the south bracing for another day of severe weather. do we need to be concerned more about flooding, tornadoes? >> the flooding won't be as bad as what we saw this morning. we will see isolated tornadoes, but compared to the last three days and all the destruction that's been done, it won't be quite as bad today. it will be the least of the damage done. now, yesterday and then this morning it poured

look it, i talked to governor rick scott of florida. he's created, since he's been governor, 5,040 jobs. he inherited a budget deficit of $3.6 billion. today he announced 4 million is going back to taxpayers because he's got a $1.3 billion surplus. he created 500,000 jobs. plus, it was 10.9% and now it's 6.2%. then we turn to the great state of wisconsin. governor walker put his entire political career on the line, everything he believed in in his conservative principles. he had this, a $3.6 billion deficit. he too was given money back to the taxpayers because he has a billion dollar surplus. look at the unemployment rate. when he took over, it was 7.7% and now it's below the national average at 6.1%. and then we turn to john kasich, the great state of ohio. his budget deficit, $8 billion. let's look at the surplus. $1.5 billion surplus. $9.5 billion swing in the great state of ohio. and now you look at the unemployment rate. 9.1% now becomes 6.5%. it's working all around the country. then we turn to texas, big story going on in texas.

even though florida governor rick scott said last year he could not in good conscience deny uninsured of medicaid, his state's republican legislature felt otherwise. florida joined the two dozen states rejecting medicaid expansion and left 750,000 poor floridians without health insurance. one of those people was 32-year-old charlene dill, a mother who made about $9,000 a year by working three jobs, baby-sit, cleaning houses and selling vacuum cleaners. she was incentivized. because florida did not expand medicaid, dill, who made $9,000 a year, didn't qualify for medicaid. and on march 2, while in a stranger home selling vacuum cleaner she's collapsed and died leaving behind three children, ages 3, 7, and 9. charlene dill had a heart condition but uninsured she went without the coverage she needed. she tried to coverage only to find out she fell into the medicaidda. . according to a recent study, as many as 17,000 americans will die as a result of states refusing to expand medicaid. in florida alone, that means 3 to 6 deaths like char dean dill every day. to the governors who have chos
