rolling right over the top of the ridge of high pressure.ross our skies, this evening, and we will continue to see more of the clouds throughout the evening, but other than that, well, it should be fantastic. yup, we've got the wind advisories though in the bay area hills until 10:00 a.m. on sunday, and the winds flowing 25 to 35 miles an hour, and gusting as high as 45, and maybe higher than that, toward 55, above 2500 feet or so, so we're looking at very strong gusty winds. down below, not bad at all and the ridge is too strong for any real true fog to form and a couple of patches of fog out to the immediate coast but not much and that means we will clear out the skies very nicely and that means high pressure in control and that is going to stay here for it looks like the better part of the weekend and probably going to just slowly break down. so sunny and warm. a bit on the breezy side as we head toward tomorrow. beautiful sunshine and looking good all the way to the coastline and we could see some temperatures into the 70s. again, record

here is our ridge of high pressure keeping california high and dry for another day today. weak system pushing through the ridge tonight setting the stage for a pretty good system, several systems to head our way next week but for now we're looking at a slight offshore push. usually the foggy central valley will be clear today. between now and then, the ridge pumps out and that will allow temperatures to soar today, some of the warmest readings we've seen in quite some time. monday morning, rain is off the coast and by early afternoon, a few showers and it will be much colder. in fact by tomorrow, significantly cooler with much more cloud cover. in terms of today, we're looking at temperatures ranging from the low 70s in the south bay. look for 72 in campbell as well as cupertino. on the peninsula, 70 redwood city. 68 for half moon bay. 68 in downtown and in the north bay, 67. novato, a few 70s. near east bay, will warm to upper 60s. average high is 58 this time of year in oakland, how about 70 today. out over the hills, more upper 60s for dublin and walnut creek. mid-70s i

the ridge of high pressure will continue to dominate our weather. this has been a monster storm stretching from the northeast down into texas. if you can believe that. you have had freezing rain, blizzard conditions, you name it, all kinds of weather to go along with that and just a mess across the northeast. some people talking about some record amounts of snow from the storm system and it's not done just yet. mild conditions at the coast. the big concern is the breezes but not a big problem. looks like temperatures are going to get warmer as we head in toward the weekend. numbers for today, 64 at morgan hill. east bay temperatures 50s and 60s for highs toward the afternoon. i think the north bay could see some of the warmer temperatures in the upper 60s in places like santa rosa and petaluma even sonoma looking good. plenty of sunshine. we'll see sunshine continue although maybe cooling a little tomorrow with a couple of clouds moving into our skies. over the weekend the mid-70s if you can believe that in 10. warmer spots. time for a traffic check
