just expect a couple of heavy downpours, moving in the direction of ridgewood, clarks clarkstown. not a thunderstorm. it's not a severe storm. but heavy rain will come through for a brief time. that's the heaviest out there. we haven't seen much in terms of measurable rain today. less than a tenth of an inch. we look to the west, showers are very spotty. thunderstorms moving across near norfolk, virginia, we're not going to see that type of heavy rain. we will get cool temperatures in the 40s in the city. upper 30s around bethel. ocean grove, down to 43. tomorrow, raw and chilly and damp. cloudy most of the day. sprinkles and showers show up again around 5:00. that will continue for two to three hours tomorrow evening. this is 6:00 p.m. you can see the showers still around 11:00. when we get to saturday, it does break up and we get sunshine. it doesn't warm up a lot. then more rain. it looks like sunday will be a soaker, a washout day. if you have plans to do anything outdoors and saturday is your best day even though it's not that warm. it's up to 61 and we will have some sun. ch
