let's go to taylor riggs. are we seeing good volume here? goodr: we are seeing volume given that the european equity markets are closed. i'm going to use this opportunity to take a look at something more nerdy, if you will. #metvnto my terminal at g 6430. i'm looking at the correlation between bond yields and equity prices. this pretty wide gap coming along here and then we have the election and what is going on here. you have a pretty tight correlation between bond yields and price higher yields lower, both coming down over the last recent few days. what is driving some of the surge in bond prices higher is a lot of the geopolitical risk we are seeing, rising tensions in north korea and russia, and that is continuing into my next chart as we take a look at the vix. you areolitical risk seeing, equity prices pulling down the vix a little bit. since last tuesday, it continued to hover at that or above that 15 level. the bank of america merrill lynch global financial stress index climbed to a .24 last week, hitting a peak that it set back in f
