rita williams, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> we want to return to breaking news taking place, news chopper two arrived on the scene of a three-alarm fire that is burning near scandia, interstate 680 meets interstate 80, south of fairfield. as you can see the fire is still burning. gone to three alarms. burned about 15 acres. the winds are out of the west at 15 miles per hour. you can see the wind is pushing the smoke down low to the ground. the wind is a concern for firefighters and you can see homes on the screen but the fire is burning away a from the homes and there are other structures in the area down wind. firefighters on the scene of this burning grass fire that is taking place off interstate 80 and 680. we will get an idea of what is down wind. there is a couple of dirt roads. firefighterdize use those to get their vehicles in there. and that's interstatatey at the top and you can see the farmland below. not a lot of structures in the immediate path of the fire. we will keep an eye on this and keep you posted throughout the newscast. >>> ed lee edges towards a run for mare new ques
