even as you make your way back in toward riverhead, some pretty solid rain in through there, then it breaks up in nassau county. east and connecticut are the heavier showers at this point. this is round one of the showers as an area of low pressure passes by offshore and gets you that rainfall. there's another cold front that's coming in the later. as far as temps go, 6 is in central park and belmar --61. there's that area of low finish that has kicked up the showers and storms in the eastern sections of the tristate. but we've got a break in between, then that cold front afternoon. with that passing by, we're going to be at risk for more rain, but this line doesn't look like it's going to be producing a whole heck of a lot in terms of rainfall. showers should come in and out of the area fairly quickly. temps up to 72 later on this afternoon. high of 72 today, back to drier skies tomorrow with a high of 68. 63 on thursday, more showers on friday and then it gets cooler and drier for the weekend. things don't look all bad but, again, some showers outs out there. the live interactive r
