that's just our facility in riverside alone. the national archives in general holds about five million cubic feet of original records historically valuable. what we maintain in riverside, they're created by about 89 diffent federal agencies and courts located in southern california, arizona, and clark county, nevada. we all know what clark county is, right? las vegas. i see some heads nodding. what happens in vegas winds up in the national archives so be careful, all right? [laughter] so in general, again texas records what that we hold document historic events, trends, and issues. actions of the governments and its action with the public and documents the rights of individuals and the government. the records in our facility date from 1798 to 2003 so do we have a lot of materials that date back to the 1700's? california wasn't part of the united states until the 1850's. what we have, it's a document from an old spanish land grant that was given. basically it's an area of arizona today in 1789 this was granted to a family out the

-year high and coronavirus cases are surging particularly in the predominantly black seede cedar riversidend to protest the killing of george floyd. black men who died after a white police officer knelt on his neck as floyd said i can't breathe. people have been protesting for three days now, many of which are out there in mac masks in t middle of a pandemic. at the same time over the last month, there are armed men showing up to state capitals with long guns. men who face little sanction for the men nic men urged on by the subtle and nod and profess a desire for violence against the state in a second civil war. and there is no plan from the president who warned against american carnage for the carnage and chaos we are living through now. not the pandemic. not the economic crisis. not the societals inequity, not predatory policing, not the protest in minnesota, nothing except to make it worse and sell chaos and dig cord and bigotry and help the smaller part of the country that follows him is enough to win an election again. this is what donald trump's america has brought. not great again.

we are piggybacking on the riverside contract, which means we're leveraging that contract with microsoft. and it was negotiated on behalf of the state of california. it's negotiated at a government-level "d." importantly it also includes a minus 2% discount. there is no other state in the u.s. that has received a discount over and above the level "d" pricing, let alone the extra 2% discount. we created a pool of 10 qualified microsoft resellers and conducted an r.f.q. for these resellers and zones was selected as the lowest responsive bidder for this procurement. a bit about enterprise agreements and why they're so important to the city. this enterprise agreement represents basically 26 contracts for 26 departments in the city. all in one contract. the departments can order licenses immediately and pay annually. d.t. maintains a pool of licenses available to the departments and even order, if handled separately, would have required a procurement process, as opposed to this pool of licenses, that is available to our departments. this enterprise agreement really helps us with transparency
