ronna mcdaniel, head of the rnc in washington, d.c. we'll talk again soon. thanks. >> julie: a big meeting at the white house today. senate republicans will hear details on president trump's soon to be released immigration plan as ice announces a new program to let local police act as immigration officers. william la jeunesse is live at our los angeles bureau. let's start at the border. what exactly is happening there? >> julie, i just came back from a week in south texas where you have an open border in that one sector, a new migrant is crossing the border illegally every minutes. 1400 a day. in the last 10 days 33,000 apprehensions in 10 days. 1.2 million a year and hundreds more don't get caught. the difference in 10 years ago these people are not being deported. mostly it's economics. make $5 a home or $15 an hour in the u.s. messaging. what friends, family, the president are telling people in central america, asia, africa, we can't hold you. paralysis in congress means anyone with a heartbeat and desire for better life can cross the border and the u.s.

he will have a lot of money with the rnc who is outraising the dnc. he will have the plane and be in pennsylvania a lot. he's going to make biden defend their own turf. they're going to be on the defensive. a two-prong strategy in pennsylvania. the one prong is my trade and immigrations policies have protected workers from cheap steel being dumped and cheap labor. if you look at the pennsylvania economy, the jobless rate, all-time low and payrolls are at an all-time high. you'll say about joe biden if he's the nominee, he abandoneded you. he gave you nafta. he let illegals pour in and manufacturing jobs were lost. that will be pretty tough for biden to rally against. the crowd size for biden was so pathetic during his launch on a saturday. he barely got 5,000 in philadelphia, a town of millions. trump had 20 to 30,000 out in the middle of nowhere in pennsylvania. no biden movement. >> dana: but it was a lovely place. >> jesse: beautiful part of the state. >> dana: not only do he make that case that biden abandoned you, he abandoned him physically. >>
