. >> and we're watching the roadways this morning with that different neighborhood to neighborhood.let's take a live look right now from one of our folkishing on the roadways here they look dry currently, they are dry currently, but this is not going to be something that's going to last all day long. let's go through the hour by hour, but we're going dive into our pennsylvania suburbs as well as the lehigh valley and berks county. we're going to do this neighborhood by neighborhood. starting around 6:00 a.m. this morning, already we'll start to see that precipitation moving in. for lehigh valley, berks and most of the upper suburbs at least, we're looking at snow. you do see that little rain, snow, or rather ice line to the south. lower chester, delco, into philadelphia as well. then it starts to extend farther to the north. this is 9:00 a.m., which is why we're concerned. 6:00 through 9:00 turning to icing for the morning commute. we go to about noontime and now the snow is still lingering for lehigh valley, berks and the poconos. we're starting to see it change into rain for areas

leaving very slippery roadways even on those major roads. and the temperatures are very borderline.t's where the issues come into play. farther north there will be a break in the precipitation, but don't be fooled just because there's a break. as we get to that 9:00 a.m. mark, temperatures are just a bit warmer. possibly a few embedded thunderstorms possible as this moves through. let's talk about your storm impact scale for philadelphia, i-95 corridor. sleet is possible for about 6:00 to 10:00 this morning. it means icy roads are possible during your morning commute and everything turns over to rain later in the morning. we'll talk more about the impact for the rest of our neighborhoods coming up. >>> there's already an impact on the weather out there on the roads. >> let's check. route one, jessica boyington, remind us exactly where? >> we're watching on the northbound side. so coming away from the schuylkill expressway, right around wissahicken avenue. and we're also losing some lanes up ahead. you can see some cars stopping here as they approach the scene trying to get to the le

it means the roadways are going to start not below freezing.hat means the first few flakes should melt. that's good and useful for the road treatments in place. by the time we get to 4:30 in the afternoon, we start to see the moisture moving in. knit may -- it may start as snow that melts on the ground. rain north and south. temperatures are too warm to support the snow. by 7:00 p.m., this takes us against the freezing mark close to it at the i-95 corridor and near freezing areas north and west. we start getting accumulating snow. it sticks along the corridor. because roadways are warm, it's going to melt on roads. it means the concern isn't as high. that's why we're not under the first alert in those locations. it may turn back to rain except for primarily the northern most parts of the viewing area around 10:00 at night. i actually wouldn't be surprise if it still snowed into some of the suburbs which is why we included them for the higher total expected. everything is out about around 3:00 in the morning. it stays cold. mostly 30s. we get in
