as we go south, south of the richmond area very interesting, some severe weather toward roanoke, rapidornado warnings south of the north carolina line but back here in maryland, all is quiet. temperatures around 80 still right now. it will be a slow fall with the mugginess. slow fall through the 70s. there is somewhat cooler hair north of the state line. you can see highs today 79 in york. six degrees cooler than the harbor. some of that cooler air may filter down tomorrow. we may be only in the mid to upper 70s tomorrow. it depends on how much sunshine breaks through. it will be fairly humid. to the west there is more active weather out toward the midwest. you can see a storm system putting down the showers and storms in ohio, indiana. that will miss us to the north. what we will watch for is cooler hair wrapping around the circulation. that could drop temperatures a little bit despite that warm air flow we're getting and the class of that cooler and warmer air and just enough humidity in the picture. i think we could sea pop-up shower tomorrow afternoon and maybe thursday afternoon.

holes in the shenandoah valley, down south close to richmond, middle peninsula area, and especially roanoke. that's probably where we will see the most widespread showers and a thunderstorm. even around here, we will have showers and thunderstorms likely this afternoon and evening. we spoke about the holes in the clouds in the shenandoah valley. here's the results. sunshine. the sons and stabilizes the atmosphere and pops up a few showers. these are pretty weak. in frederick county, virginia, south the winchester, northwest of winchester as well. and just east of dulles airport around fairfax county parkway between the toll road and rte. 50, we have one little sprinkle that popped up along the edge of dulles airport in western fairfax county. that is all we have to speak of right now. later on today i expect showers and storms to become more widespread. they are slow-moving. that's because there's not much wind in the atmosphere to push the storms along. where they pop up, they will be there for quite some time. in isolated locations it could cause usflooding concerns especially in northern

even a few showers down to the south and west of us down around roanoke.e any of those. i think the clouds will stay south as well. we'll watch that area to the south very closely over the next couple days with a developing area of low pressure. a coastal low that will be creeping to the north and will start providing parts of the area with some rain. maybe as early as late sunday. right now i think most of the day sunday will be dry but by monday we could be talking about an east wind, rather cool, wet during the day on monday. not anticipating a ton of rain out of this so this is not going to be a big coastal storm but a coastal storm nonetheless. it will bring down temperatures and also produce a lot in the way of cloud cover and maybe just a little bit in the way of some rain. as far as the next couple days go tomorrow beautiful. 76 degrees. saturday 79. we're talking about 80 degrees on sunday. once again most of sunday i think will be dry. so if you have any plans on sunday don't worry about those right now but stay tuned to the forecast. this is one

sources are telling me, about 25 minutes ago, the man who was wanted in connection with the homicide at roanoke park began shooting again. that's when one officer shot one round, striking the man once in the head. i have learned that the park officials along with the assistant of san francisco police, they came to this apartment building in the 900 block of post street hoping to talk with that individual about the homicide. that's when they say he began firing at officers, firing as many as 13 rounds. he also lit the apartment building, turns out it was his girlfriend's apartment, not the building. the apartment and his girlfriend on fire. there was a little lull in activity. the building was evacuated. then about 25 minutes ago, that man started shooting again at officers. my police source telling me that at least one officer fired one round, striking that suspect and killing him. we're here monitoring the situation. i'm told the area will remain blocked offer to some time. you can see there is still a very heavy police presence. if there are any new developments i will be sure to bring them t
