joining us now is meteorologist rob mayeda. rob, jodi just said it's starting to rain already near santa rosa. what is the latest timeline on this storm? >> i think the timeline is reflected in how the flood watches go live tomorrow. they'll be starting out in the north bay, 4:00 tomorrow. once it gets to midday, heavier rain moving into the north bay. that will be the first of the flood watches. 10:00 tomorrow night, as you heard in jodi hernandez's story there, we could see several inches of rain across some of the mountain areas. three to five inches. and give the fact the ground is saturated, the risk of runoff flooding is certainly elevated. starting tomorrow, 4:00 it's all the north bay counties. 10:00 through 10:00 saturday will be areas san francisco southward, including the south bay and santa cruz mountains. you'll notice we do have some rain out there right now, mainly light to moderate rain outside. this will be followed up by some heavier rain rates as we go through the day tomorrow. notice these totals as early as

meteorologist rob mayeda is here now. rob, so when exactly does that happen? >> we're already seeing the opening act right now. we've got the rain moving through. by this time tomorrow, we'll have that north bay flood watch in effect. it gets started at 4:00 tomorrow. another round of three to five inches of rain, but the ground is saturated now. here's the problem. the runoff is going to be instant. i think we'll see more widespread localized flooding especially along streams and creeks as we show you our stormranger right now. you're seeing some areas of light rain in and around the south bay. rain totals right now about a tenth of an inch of rain, nothing too heavy just yet. across the north bay over to san francisco, periods of mainly light rain at times. as we move forward, though, tomorrow, as the heavier rain arrives, that's when the flood watches get under way. north bay starting at 4:00. areas san francisco southward, that's 10:00 tomorrow evening through 10:00 saturday. so really it is a 24-hour cycle for those streams and creeks to come down. yes, t
