rob. >> it will be hot sunday toward the tri-valley in inland locations. but right now comfortably in the 60s outside. lowclouds moving into san francisco spilling over towards the east bay. 65 right now in san jose. now the gusty winds we had earlier this evening tapering off somewhat, though we still have that onshore push of marine air which will reach into solano county and out towards livermore. we'll see patches of low clouds into the tri-valley for the morning. it's this sea breeze which is going to start to go away, especially sunday and monday. and with that temperatures are going to see a big swing from what we saw today. so for the coast, you're looking at 60s today. 70s by sunday. so just a slight warm-up. but notice these valleys. we're talking low 80s today, low to mid-90s come sunday. and for the sierra, we'll see the warm-up there too. temperatures around lake tahoe climbing up into the upper 80s by the end of the weekend. so if your travel plans include the high country, summer like heat will be waiting on the south shore of lake tahoe as you wrap up the weekend. fire danger starting to g

rob mayeda. you have pretty incredible weather to talk about. >> yes. the numbers on the board are what caught your attention. if you're in san francisco, you can have pants, a jacket, low0s. by the time you stop at the dublin and pleasanton station, it's mostly clear skies and 103 degrees there. 104 not too far away on 580 east in livermore. in san francisco, this has been our air conditioning but it backed off this afternoon. you see a few wisps of clouds and it's 74 degrees right now and most locations running 10 to 20 degrees warmer at this hour compared to 24 hours ago and indeed you can see the upper 90s inland to above 100 in livermore. huge swing tomorrow, thank goodness, will not be adding those numbers to the forecast but inland valleys are holding hot until the cooling arrives. the hot air rises up and creates the vacuum effect into the marine air. with high pressure so warm and so strong aloft with north winds at times in the north bay, we're seeing a clash between the north winds and north bay hills and onshore breeze that is picking up for you this evening. we're seeing low clouds around the golden gate and spilling down into monterey bay. we'll see the ma

all s&pes would need to get down under may lows to have new concerns and we just haven't seen that. >> we covered the waterfront. rob, i want to get very specific and talk about one thing that might happen in europe. there is talk that the central bank might have negative interest rates. that is, they would charge banks to keep deposits. how would that affect the world economy? would that affect markets here? >> yeah, it would. we've seen that before in switzerland. it is clearly trying to create an environment that's encouraging taking some risk, disincentivizing savings if you will. my guess is that would certainly put some downward pressure on the euro currency and have some slight to assets to the u.s., might find its way into the u.s. stock market. i don't think that's a likely scenario at this point. their unemployment rate there ticked down ever so slightly. i still see some optimistic opportunities in europe right now. if you're willing to take a little additional risk for a little further reward. but i think it is sort of much to do about nothing. i think it is sort of a boring environment. a couple numbers

rob. >> it's the driest time of year going into the exceptional drought that most of the state is under. right now, we have breezy conditions around the bay area. marine air is pumping in lowclouds in a few spots. you have the sunshine, as we show you san francisco there, the camera bouncing around a bit. very typical for this time of year, cranking up and dropping our temperatures into the low 60s in san francisco and oakland. san jose, now, starting to run a little bit cooler than 24 hours ago, the sea breeze is starting to pick up after high temperatures reached the 70s and 80s in the south bay, the wind speeds are gusty out there. this is typical for late june heading into july, you get those temperatures inland, meanwhile the coast and the cooler air rushes inland late in the day. high pressure the main play in our weather. we have the big weather system offshore, which will start to make an approach on us toward the middle of the week, in the short term, it's the low clouds and fog that's bringing a little bit of cloud cover and misty excise to parts of the coast. we saw it this morning, can you see the clearing skies still around santa cruz. the next 24 hours, spill

folks say, rob, why are you so worried? isn't inflation kibled of low today? inflation is incredibly low today. think about that. week of pumped all this new money into the economy, we have all this additional liquidity, we have all this cash parked on the sidelines and yet inflation is incredibly low but ticking up. the question isn't what is inflation today, mr. speaker the. the question is -- mr. speaker. the question is, when inflation starts to move, will we be able to control it? we've spent so many of our tools trying to stimulate the economy again, we can question whether or not that was the intent of the federal reserve act when it was passed, have all of these new leskers created and pulled -- levers created and pulled in a time of economic crisis, but they have been created and they have been pulled and so when inflation comes, will we still have any tools in the tool box to control it? this is not just my fear, mr. speaker. you can go this week to the "wall street journal," this is june 19. inflation is rising in the united states and could become
