rob marciano tracking a few things out there. severe tornadoes. there was flooding. where are things heading next? >> the focus again, whit, is on the southeast when yesterday we reported on a tornado that came through louisiana where unfortunately there were multiple injuries and one fatality. f-3 tornado, doing severe damage there, and on the heels of that, or right after that, we had this. not just your ordinary water spout, that is a full-on tornado coming on shore on panama city beach. this came on shore, and did a lot of damage to hotels and convenience stores, ripping the roof off in one particular spot. this, probably the same cluster of storms. 80-plus-mile-per-hour winds in pensacola, florida. that cluster of storms is now sinking to the south, and we'll get another round in central florida. orlando and disney world will be a rough spot around the lunch hour, and driving across miami before we clear things out really tonight and tomorrow. before that happens damaging winds and large hail. that's a check of what's happening in-- >>> good sunday, morning. sta

with more on these storms let's go back to meteorologist rob marciano. ood morning, once again, sir. >> good morning. frightening night for folks here. i'm sure walter would have been scared of this lightning. we had over 100,000 customers without power, a lot in louisiana. this was a tornado in central mississippi, backlit by those lightning strikes. these storm had some heavy-duty rain and jackson can't catch a break. they've been inundated with rain the past several weeks, three inches of rain falling there and flash flooding and moving to the east relatively quickly. a number of tornado warnings posted from louisiana through southern mississippi and into florida also and with these we could see damaging winds. had large hail with these too as it continues to press off toward the east and it slowly spirals its way up towards the northeast, tonight, tomorrow, we'll start to see rain and kind of storminess lingers on the back side of this in chicago during the day tomorrow. the most dangerous weather will be over the next six to eight hour here, mobile,

meteorologist rob marciano starts our coverage with a look at where these dangerous storms are headinging. rob. >> hey, good morning, whit. several clusters of storms rumbling through the south overnight, wind, damaging hail and, yes, at least one tornado reported. this is in mississippi. you see it back lit by lightning strikes behind that water tower. a big tornado but so far just minor damage reported there but with this jackson, mississippi, can't catch a break. it's been weeks of storms here and they are saturated. so two to three inches of rainfall coming at one time. flash flooding there. here's where the storms are. they are now barreling down i-10. new orleans, baton rouge, mobile, alabama, you're about to get it. there are a couple lines so it's not just one line pushing through, kind of several chances of seeing severe storms. that will press later on this afternoon across the florida panhandle and then up through the carolinas, virginia, and then eventually up towards the northeast, severe storm threat will diminish tomorrow, but you can see the center of this thing is stil
