from you we're going to rob marciano who is up the coast in santa barbara, where coastal flooding is ing major problems. good morning, rob. >> reporter: good morning, gio. the rain may have shifted south but the water keeps coming here in the santa barbara coast line. look at this wave action we've got. eight to ten foot waves continually pounding on this beach, eating away at the sand. at the same time, the runoff from all the rain has been pouring out trying to get dumped into the ocean. we have all sorts of debris, erosion. everything has been put to the test with this wave action. this isn't the only spot. coastal flood advisory, heavy surf from san francisco to san diego which will extend through today, if not in some spots through tomorrow. the airport, santa barbara airport, was shut down yesterday. commercial flights have all been cancelled because of high water. hopefully, they'll reopen later on today. we got half a foot of rain in some of the mountainous areas. some of the burn scar areas have been evacuated, have not slid. we're hoping no more land slides with the next mat
