rob mayeda joins us now. >> it may get too toasty for some folks, i think. maybe some upper 90s coming back, especially out to the tri-valley. right now pretty comfortable. 70s and 80s inland. comfortable around livermore. 75 in san jose. cool in san francisco where we have the low clouds sweeping back in once again. pretty good strong case of ocean air-conditioning for the coast and the inner bay. for inland spots we're talking 80s, probably a few 90s popping up. the morning will start with the clouds and maybe drizzle for your morning drive or as you take the kids to school. for the weekend, one item to watch. maybe tropical clouds by sunday. that's the stay tuned part to the weekend forecast. there's the fog on the west side of downtown san francisco. we had sunshine today around santa cruz. that's the reason why we warmed up to the mid 70s. to the south you can see the clearing. now we'll see low clouds spilling back from the south through the evening. still, pretty healthy marine layer out there. so it's the battle of the summer micro climates. inland s

time to check the forecast now with meteorologist rob mayeda. a mild start to august. >> so far.ow clouds. because after strong sea breeze the temperatures kind of chilly this afternoon. right now overcast in san jose. it's 61, in oakland 60, you can see not much in the way of sun to get the morning started around the bay area. a blanket of low clouds, higher up from the ground so it's not impacting the mid span of the bay bridge or the golden gate bridge. our temperatures held down by a healthy sea breeze blowing southwest at 20 in fairfield and getting the wind mills going around the altamont pass. in addition to low clouds close to livermore. game time for the giants as they welcome the diamondbacks should be in the low 60s, dropping into the 50s as the game goes on. cool temperatures out at the ballpark this evening. we've had big thunder in the sierra, that starting to head to the east as winds pick up. one thing it's going to keep the thunderstorms away from the bay area. it's going to reinforce the onshore winds to kick off this week. they are going to turn stronger as tem
