>> reporter: we're getting a little bit of a break right now, getting what kari hall and rob mayeda liker spray rain. it's very fine, kind of blowing around at this point, but it was raining as we were leaving the parking lot in san jose, and as we made our way down here to morgan hill, where we are this morning. in san francisco, the storm preps are aggressive. they're putting up storm bare areas inment so of the low-lying areas known for flooding. it is a tricky spot in the mission district. kari hall and the weather team have been forecasting heavy rain for that spot today and tomorrow. public utilities crews are also going out with giant vacuum trucks to suck out the storm drains and make sure that they are clear for when that water comes through. it can just kind of dissipate. here in the south bay, the sandbag stations are stocked for folks who need to divert rainwater. it doesn't take a lot of water to get into your house to do a lot of damage. talking about a little bit of water making a lot of mold in some of the low-lying spots. if you have a garage door, that's where you want
