. >> let's get to meteorologist rob mayeda for what firefighters are up against, and a smoke forecast for the bay area. >> it's been good news in terms of our air quality, we're back to good to moderate for most of the bay area right now. the sierras are providing wind for the fires to take off. sea breeze, 24 miles per hour in fairfield. notice what it's doing to the near surface smoke, it's clearing it out. during the day tomorrow we may begin to see smoke come down the coast but not to the unhealthy spare the air levels we saw in the last two or three days. very different story for the caldor fire, a fire burning so intensely, the wash being wafted into the air. we'll continue to see that as we head into sunday. for now, temperatures mild. in the seven-day forecast, 90s and 100-degree temperatures just around the corner. we'll take a look at that in the forecast coming up in ten minutes. >>> 13 major wildfires are burning across the state. you see them here on this map. these fires alone have burned a total of 1.5 million acres, nearly 13,000 firefighters are out on the lines here.
