reporter rob mcmillan from our sister station in los angeles looks at how the family is doing and the last-second plea that would have kept pierce off that flight. >> they said, we can keep her life support and keep her comfortable until the family made a decision just to keep her comfortable. >> reporter: richard pierce and two of his four children, along with other family members, stopped by the crash site one last time to place candles and flowers to remember 46-year-old stacey pierce before heading home to san jose. >> she was the love of my life. and i can't even wrap my head around going forward without her. she was just a beautiful person, inside and out. >> reporter: pierce says his wife, her mother dana, and stepfather noori, along with two family friends were on the small plane when it crashed into two riverside homes on february 27. >> all day the weather was bad and i asked her to get on a commercial flight and i just put all my faith in noori being the pilot that he is and the experience that he had. >> reporter: he says he first saw reports of the crash on the news. >> a
