i'm rob nesbitt kron. 4 news. >> we're going to hunt a hospital in san francisco had to be evacuated because of a gas leak this morning, san francisco health officials say a contractor working on the campus damaged a gas line. staff in the administration building were evacuated for about an hour as crews work to cap the leak. the hospital building was not affected in no residents or patients had to be evacuated. staff were able to go back shortly thereafter police in antioch are investigating a deadly shooting. officers say just after 10, 15 this morning they were called to rockford drive where they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. he was taken to the hospital where he died. police are still investigating what led to this. the victim's identity has not been released. on the peninsula. this is what was left of a car that hit a tree and then split in half killing a person. >> it happened just after one 30 this morning on highway one being hollow road in pescadero. chp says that the car when to leftover double lines back to the right and then crashed into a tree. offi

rob nesbitt joins us from the newsroom with what we know from police. rop. >> new year's eve should be about celebrating, but it was a day of violence in oakland. the police activity started with a fatal shooting on 14th street and ended with another on second street. fireworks and gunshots rang off on new year's eve in oakland city. councilmember noel gallo heard them from his neighborhood. it was out of control in my neighborhood there in the fruitvale area on the block. next to me on the block, the sun. >> the fireworks, the gunshots that were going on. it started early with police responding to a shooting on 14th street around 07:15am. one person was found shot and paramedics responded, but they were pronounced dead at the scene. the violence continued with the second homicide on 70th ave around 07:45pm when a person was stabbed to death. lastly, 4 people had to be taken to the hospital because of a shooting on second street shortly after 10:15pm, 3 of them in stable condition. but the 4th person succumb to their injuries youth alive is an open orga

i'm rob nesbitt kron. 4 news. >> this is what bay area fire crews that are down there are dealing withis is a group that is working from of the napa area. these are napa firefighters that said this is video from the pacific palisades fire that they are battling. and you can see these are so many active fires. they need lots of help. and the bay area sent a lot of crews. in fact, there is one from crockett. they're working in the altadena area on the eaton fire. and this is these are some pictures of their engine that they sent. plus for firefighters with that engine to help contain fires there. bryn county has also sent a bunch of responders. they deployed some search and rescue team workers over the weekend and here they are gathering. this is a team that's working on the eaton fire and they add grim task of searching for survivors and looking through the rubble and seeing if there are any hazards there. there. a team of 30 that they just sent other fire departments that have sent their crews, including from alameda county, san mateo county, as we showed in napa county and the san fra
