joining me now is filmmaker and friend of the sunday show oig rob reiner. rob, great to see you.really are californians that this recall effort could actually succeed? >> quite worried because we're kind of asleep at the wheel here. we don't think of, you know, the possibility that in a blue state like california that they could just remove a governor for really no reason at all. but what the republicans are doing is simply a power grab. i mean, that is it. they don't have anything. they don't stand for anything. you know, we are in the vast majority on every single issue whether it is supporting a woman's right to choose, or a belief in climate change and the science of wearing masks or getting vaccinated. we're in the vast majority so they can't win unless they either try to suppress the vote or grab a power grab like a recall. and they are hoping that people aren't paying attention, it is labor day, you know, it is an off year election, people don't think about these kinds of things right now and they are hoping that people will be asleep and they won't mail in their ballotbal
