rob roblin has the story. >> yesterday afternoon, the man and woman were returning to their car after shopping at the westfield annapolis mall when they were confronted by three men. it was in the red parking garage around 5:00 p.m. a man and woman had just purchased a laptop and were headed to their car. >> they reported walking out to their vehicle and the red cross area -- in the red cross -- garage area. the three men confronted them. they were able to take a with a laptop computer from the male. >> the card the thieves used to escape in was stolen. police have been unable to locate the vehicle. >> we have received information it was a stolen vehicle. it is a black bmw with district of columbia police. we're trying to get the information out to the public. if anyone saw or heard anything, we want them to come forward to expedite the investigation. >> police say they have stepped up security around mall. they say crimes like this are not common. for those who shop at the mall, a crime like this is cause for concern. >> it happens around here sometimes. i am not surprised about it.
