i want to bring in rob wheeler, former fox contributor, about this judge right now. judge james gosnell, rob, who started off with a speech of his own, and it would be my understanding that that's quite rare for a judge to make a statement like that. he said charleston is a strong community, we have big hearts. today we're reaching out to everyone we're reaching out to the victims of the nine people who were murdered their families but we're also reaching out to the victims on the other side of this story. we're reaching out to the victims on the side of this alleged murderer's family as well. is that rare? >> you know gretchen i've been in law enforcement a long time and i've attended a number of criminal trials and bond hearings and i'll tell you, to be honest this is the first time i've ever seen a judge give that preamble that he did prior to even holding the hearing. not only was that unusual, but even at the end when he had the victim impact testimony -- that's what that was called victim impact statements we usually don't see that at a bond hearing. usually you
