and someone recently, robert carroll, the great biographer, they have a line when you do research, turn in every page and get every box out and open it up and turn over page and document if there are jobs. and i think he's right in a lot of ways, but that only if there's a decade to write book. you have to be strategic. >> also if you have a researcher to do it for you? >> that's true. >> and, yeah, i did hire one researcher who helped me and one of the issues is, you know, most of the records are in washington, but they're scattered across the entire country and archives in every state and in the state archives like in trenton and in new jersey's archives and in universities. there's tons and tons of stuff and i did hire a researcher to go to the illinois project records, somehow, i guess it's the state archives and it's a huge help and i couldn't justify buying it and looking at that as much as i wanted to. and it was a little bit. it was complicated doing this research. when i first went to the national archives and an archivist there, an expert on the new deal and wpa holdings and h
