robert has the next question. >> senator, that huge base just north of us here in austin here in central texas is named for this man. he is a confederate general, john bell hood and they have called on a name change to fort hood. do you support changing name? you have 60 seconds. senator cornyn: as you probably know, this is a subject of the defense authorization bill that is currently in the united states senate. i believe it was senator warren who suggested a commission, study the matter and make recommendations to congress. i support that process. strangely enough that is one of the few things i agree with elizabeth warren on even though she has endorsed my opponents ms. hegar, elizabeth warren is sort to have poster person for the green new deal, medicare for all, the wish list on the left and she sees in m.j. hegar a loyal ally in coming to the senate. i sfor commission process but i disagree with elizabeth warren and m.j. hegar and the direction they want to take the country. we will not recognize our country if they were to prevail. >> would you change the name of fort hood? >> i would. i think we can't deny our history but we can choose who we select
