they were not going to nominate robert kennedy. the time of kennedy's death, his own campaign sort of state-by-state breakdown of where the delegates were and what he would have to accomplish in order to get a majority, it's essentially a unimaginable scenario. humphrey, because the union leaders, the state party leaders, the big city bosses, the southern governors, were for him, and because a plurality of democrat inge voters manifested in the gallup poll were for him, almost surely would have been a democratic nominee anyway. now, what about humphrey who was vice president and his boss lyndon johnson, the president, who remember at the end of march had withdrawn from the election. well, john sson withdrew but at minimum hoped somehow he would be asked. remember, that convention was scheduled originally to coincide with johnson's birthday at the end of august. and johnson had this sort of lingering hope that he would be able to have a breakthrough in the negotiations with north vietnam and somehow bring peace to that war, or, a bre

one of the leaders of the environmental movement is robert kennedy, jr. he began asctivism from a young age thanks in part to the late bobby kennedy. we had a chance to sit down with robert, jr., this week? >> also, my father had a very big influence on us because he put us out in the wilderness so much and he taught us how to white water kayak when we were very young. he would take us fishing. he encouraged me and my interests in animals and wildlife. he took us mountain climbing and camping and took us to some of the most beautiful national packs and to do white water on the salmon river and the snake and colorado, little colorado, the green. at that was a time when people weren't doing that kind of thing. and but he wanted to show us this wilderness and say, this is part of your heritage. this is american democracy is rooted in welderness. >> that's what the great american historian said, in america, our democratic institutions are rooted in these vast tracts wilderness. my father considered this part of our heritage and our purple mountains majesty. he

it was a malevolent and diabolical psychological warfare robert kennedy he got his brother killed and set the stage for world war iii, and in addition to that, terrorizing members of our government with the prospect that such a terrible event would diff out the world unless they helped engineer a lone gunman cover-up. i want to take a side and address the possibility of a part two story. he may have been the case officer for another part of that , and thisoperation also was hidden from the house select committee. remember that in june i did six 1962, theyjune attended to use cabela in the plot to assassinate fidel castro. wilfredo francisco pancho ano who identified him, and it was at this moment that pancho's case officer, tony sforza, turned pancho over to a greek case officer who was working in the jm wade station. they used tepedino and hissed at debt to set up the recruitment of cabela --used tepedino and his stepdad. one might be justified in marveling at just how many greek case officers were running cubans at jm wade at the same time. 1962 cabela op was carried out in conjunct
