. >> reporter: i'm here at robert mondavi winery. you can see the hillside burning behind the winery. it's close to the albatross vineyards. we have been seeing cooler temperatures here and lighter winds but the fires burning out of control popping up threatening structures. this is a closer look at some of these flames right now. again, burning very close to wineries, close to highway 29 although they are right now up on top of a hill. that's something that firefighters will have to keep their eye on when we are talking about high value properties oolong this napa county roadway. we want to show what you we found earlier along dry creek road. not far from where i am right now. we started driving down that road. it was closed to the public but media is allowed in at our own risk and we found this suddenly flames hovering a hillside from the ground up to some of those tall trees there. in between the roadway the dry creek road and fire is homes. so very close to spreading to the homes. that area under a voluntary evacuation order. but

robert mondavi is one. this is just across, just up from yountville and french laundry, south of st. helena. "today in the bay's", sharon katsuda is live in the evacuation advisory to show the conditions there. you were surprised to see, when you rolled up this morning, they were picking grapes. >> reporter: that's right. we are hear thag is a normal process this time of year. they are harvesting the grapes starting very early in the morning. they wish they had more workers to speed up the process. here is why. this is the ridge they are looking at. they are keeping very close eye on the ridge. this is the nun's fire. we just saw a flair up minutes ago. show you video of that. basically, they are concerned this nun's fire approaching highway 29 might reach the heart of wine country. they are trying to keep it back, away from highway 29, but that is the concern. that is why there is an advisory here, an evacuation advisory. earlier, we checked out yesterday the tubbs fire, which is now only 10% contained. th

the evacuation zone, robert mondavi is the main one. and the famous restaurant that people wait forever to get reservations for. i am at the robert mondavy vineyard. as i was driving here, you could see the fire.s the outline of the mountains. the workers can see it as well. they say they're trying to work a little bit faster so that the grapes don't experience the smoke. and just in case they do have a evacuate, the grapes are all picked. so they are a little bit more worried because they see the fire. i've been talking to some of the workers and they tell me that they had to evacuate as well. some of them live in calastoga and some of them living in surrounding areas, so they're telling me they're worried about their own homes but they're here working trying to pick these grapes as fast as they can. so this is under a voluntary evacuation, so they don't have to evacuate just yet but once he see that fire, it becomes more imminent, dangerous, real, because you're seeing it right there, and so like i mentioned, they're trying to work just a little bit faster. >> when it comes to the wineries, they said oh, i haven't heard from the workers. don't forget, nobody is checking in. when they ran fro

. >> reporter: good morning, i have been at the robert mondavi vineyards all morning, they have been working extra today because they are trying to avoid the smoke and trying too avoid the fire which you can see in the mountain behind the vineyard. the outline of the fire was here. they were working with masks on, they were telling me that it's hard, it's physical labor that is extra difficult because of the smoke. some of the workers were evacuees. it's like a double situation in terms of how hard it is, because of the smoke and because a lot of them are thinking about their homes, they left behind their families and they are here working, they are saying it's difficult to pick the grapes in this situation, this is an area under a voluntary evacuation, they do not have to leave yet but they are take precautions, the vineyard is closed for the tasting room and for the other employees, a lot of other areas are closed as well. a lot of people are being careful especially now that they see the flames behind the vineyard. it's more real when you are here and you see it. >> thank you, a l
