she met with tony schwartz who wrote with donald trump "the art of the deal." she met with robertolf, a friend of president obama's and was the ceo of ubs to try to psych out what is a former -- what is an executive, what does a business guy know about public policy, how to figure out donald trump. she has also been trying to figure out how to project herself and how to explain who she is, because she knows she has this likability problem in the polls. remember the famous debate in new hampshire in 2008 when barack obama said to her, when she was asked about her likability problem and she said, well, obama said well, you're likeable enough, hillary. she came back from that moment and actually won the new hampshire primary. not, of course, the nomination. she knows she has a deficit on honesty and integrity. and she has to explain herself in shorter sentences than paragraphs. she has to explain the e-mail thing and explain it so that people can really understand how contrite she is. those are the challenges. >> nbc's andrea mitchell in hempstead. thank you. ha hallie jackson joins
