adam shapiro, and senior national correspondent john roberts. we'll start with you covering republicans from philly where voters will get their say there next week. hi, john. >> reporter: five big contests happening next week. donald trump in new york today hopes to win big because he wants to take away as many, if not all, of the 95 delegates that are available as possible. that will factor into weren't he can get to a majority of delegates prior to the republican convention in july. we hear a lot about the delegate process in a typical year it doesn't matter a whole lot. a little bit of behind-the-scenes america's but it really does matter this year, particularly in new york. because under the delegate allocation rules there are 95. there are three allocated congressional districts in this 27 congressional districts. then there are 14 at large delegates available. if a candidate goes over 50% state wide, they get all 14 of those delegates. if they don't, then they're allocated proportionally to everybody who gets above 20%. in those 27 congres

roberts in for tamron today. we hustled overnight to the next battleground state in indiana and we are live here in shapiro's deli in indianapolis. we've got pastrami and politics heavy in the air and look at the indiana star. it's the center of the universe that could be the last stand for the vulnerable stop trump movement. already this morning we have ted cruz out on the campaign trail talking about what is at stake here. >> indiana has an opportunity to make a decision that is going to impact the republican party, it's going to impact the country. >> meanwhile in the next hour, donald trump will deliver a closely watched foreign policy speech coming up from the national press club in washington. also bernie sanders is going to be holding a rally at purdue university here in indiana, and it all follows trump's super tuesday five-state sweep and hillary clinton's decisive wins in four of five states. as a result, donald trump picked up at least 109 delegates while ted cruz picked up only three, john kasich gained five. on the democratic side, hillary clinton picked up at least 194 delegates and bernie sanders 1
