robert shaw's presentation. for those of you that have never tried to identify a set of human remains, this is incredibly difficult work and very important stuff. my primary job is for the "uss monitor" when we recovered the turret in 2002, we found the remains of two u.s. sailors inside the turret and over the course of about ten years, we worked really closely with the joint pacific account and command of hawaii to try and identify those remains. full dna analysis. we did facial reconstruction through louisiana state university. we knew there were 16 sailors lost so we knew generally out of a pool
