i was doing a pre-recorded interview for npr all things considered a couple weeks ago with robert siegel and i told them this story and he loved it. but i heard it's producer laughing in the background and she was like, you can't say that so you get to hear it tonight and so does c-span and unless they cut this out as well, but the story is ericson had a patient come into the hospital. was a medical student he was attending and this woman was a fixating on all kinds of blood and plus trapped in her chest and erikson decides to cut into her neck and all of this blood imposs begins to spill out and he decides to lower his mouth onto this wound and begin sucking it out. kind of like a weird vampire story for halloween. so, you're welcome. he does this three times. he sucks this blood and pus out of her neck and she survives which is it wasn't so good for the purposes of my story, but i'm a historian. i have to stick to the facts. i mean really they should have all died. i mean the infections and and the way that surgery or sorry diseases were spread of this time it just again, it's just min
