meteorologist robert speta joins us with details. this is our latest storm system here.ed barney by the meteorological office out of the uk. what we are looking at is several storm systems. this is not barney. this is our previous one which is bringing fairly gusty winds. towards iceland you have wind reports upward of 122 kilometers per hour. this area of cloud cover coming from the west. you can see it on the side of the satellite picture. that is our next storm system. as it does push overhead heading into tuesday, going to bring in blustery conditions. the big difference from this one to the last several storms. abigail pushed through the northern areas of the british isles. this one is coming in farther towards the south. even those of you into london you can see blustery conditions coming out of this. more so along the western seaboard where the highest winds will be in the heaviest rainfall. we could look at snowfall up to 10 centimeters. definitely if you have travel plans, you want to watch off that. in the south, fairly decent weather. lisbon at 20. athens gett

meteorologist robert speta joins us with the forecast. >> let's talk about this travel week. it's going to be a rough one from the rockies across the central plains. pay attention to this forecast here. this past weekend much of the eastern u.s., thanks to this area of low pressure, see that cloud cover is now moving off to the east. it brought in this absolutely chilly cold air and some snowfall accompanying with this. an early season snow in cleveland, ohio. also towards chicago. really just slowing down people out on the roadways here. numerous delays and cancellations at the airport. this high pressure is making things dry right now. back towards the west, this is the storm system to watch. specifically across the northern rockies for the time being, you are going to look at additional snowfall, some areas as much as 20 to 30 centimeters expected out there. high winds. some areas as much as 70 to 80 kilometers per hour. take a look at the three-day outlook. you are going to look at a high of only 6 tuesday. it's going to get colder to minus 6 and minus 8 by wednesday and

meteorologist robert speta joins us with more. >> i want to start off talking about this. it's not anything that is dramatic as far as we see with flooding and tornadoes, for example, but the impacts are widespread. that is a drought out here since last summer in 2014 to 2015 across the southern areas here in africa and specifically south africa. you have been seeing already so far going into the summer water restrictions in place for those of you in johannesburg. crops have been damaged. i want to show you photos. this is in new castle. a lot of these lake beds drying up. a lot of rivers running dry. water shortage is definitely a key issue. one of the other effects of that because you are looking at a shortage of rainfall and water is the threat to a lot of crops. farmers having a hard time going ahead with this. in 2014 and 2015 alone about a third of the maize crops were lost. it's a very serious situation and really being exasperated by the el nino which is causing a difference in the weather patterns. we have jet stream dipping. you are looking at less rainfall there
