hi, liz. >>> good morning, roberta. yeah. lot of rain coming down for the evening commute maybe for this weekend. for right now everything is dry and i got to say the commute is extra, extra quiet on this friday morning. a lot of folks may be starting their spring breaks this week and you can see not even a delay yet at all not one yellow sensor through the livermore valley. this is pretty unusual. this is your friday gift, 13 minutes between the altamont pass and the dublin interchange. the only spot i could find any slowdowns is at the bay bridge. they turned the metering lights on around 6:06. the only thing i saw was a stall. it's on the shoulder approaching the toll plaza so that shouldn't slow you down much. anyway, it's backed up to the overcrossings, about 15 minutes to get you on the span. and once you got past the metering lights, the sensors show everything is moving freeway. actually you can see it right there from the incline past the tunnel. so this evening could get a little tricky driving around san francisco.

kpix 5's roberta gonzales out on the slick roads.he mobile weather lab. >> roberta, how's it looking there in the south bay? >> reporter: good morning, everybody. i got to tell you, it is a gorgeous morning. sure, we have a little bit of low overcast and as lawrence was alluding to a little earlier a little bit muggy but we hopped in mobile weather and we are driving right now on 880 southbound. we are in san jose. yesterday i was reading a forbes magazine article. this particular stretch of freeway and 280101 in the san jose area has been dubbed one of the top ten congest the traffic areas in the entire country. leading the pack los angeles, san francisco has one of the top ten most congested traffic commutes for the morning hours. at this particular time, mobile weather we are cruising down 880 in a southerly direction. heading towards san jose right about in the area of the airport. we are doing the speed limit at 65 miles per hour. so so far, so good. but as elizabeth can always tell you and update you on in the next 30 minutes,

reporting for mobile weather, roberta gonzales, kpix 5. >>> and rain continues to fall over at the bay. we just spotted this tweet from "kcbs traffic." there's been an accident just reported on the lower deck. it's eastbound before you reach the island. that accident is blocking the two right lanes. we are seeing some big sized delays now leaving san francisco heading into oakland the other direction commute directs traffic is backed up into the maze. also in the east bay westbound 4 really slow from bay point. it's because of an earlier stall. they did clear that other accident though southbound 680 approaching willow pass. we are still seeing big backups from 242 and also there's chain requirements in the sierra on highway 50 and interstate 80. lawrence? >> lots of rain around the bay area and guys i am loving it today. hi-def doppler radar showing you that rain outside some heavy storms now making their way into san francisco. we have already had some reports of some hail into san francisco. see that red off the coastline? that could be another thunderstorm headed in our direction.
